Installation and commissioning

Since 2005 Winder has launched more than 180 facilities using wind turbines or solar panels. We will be glad to help you.

First, we describe the installation of the wind turbine. The installation process consists of three main stages:

1. Excavation, pouring the foundation and cabling.

2. Building the mast and wind-head, installing the wind turbine on the foundation.

3. Connecting of the controller, inverter and batteries, tuning and administration of the system in operation.

We shall briefly tell about each of them:

Excavation, pouring the foundation and cabling

According to the drawings the foundation excavation and construction of the formwork is performed. Foundation frame is installed and poured with a concrete of high viscosity. The foundation is gaining of maximum strength in 25 days. The whole foundation is necessary to fill in one day.

A power cable from the wind turbine is placed in the pipe at a depth of at least 30cm. Then it is led in the room, specially equipped as an inverter room.

Installation of wind turbine should be performed on a windless day. If the mast consists of several segments, it must be collected in accordance with the drawings. The cable is placed inside the support and wind-head (generator with blades) and secured with bolts and nuts to its top flange.

The lower flange of mast is installed on the base of the foundation and is fixed by nuts on the anchor bolts. While the generator is not connected to the controller, power cable of wind turbine should be shorted (phases should be connected to each other).

Three-phase output of the generator is connected to respective inputs of controller. Batteries must be connected in series to the group. The red wire connects to the battery terminals/+/controller and inverter, then battery black wire - terminals/-/respectively.

It is necessary to make the initial tuning of the controller and the inverter according to their technical documentation. This is followed by a test run of the wind turbine, to ensure the proper operation of the system.

As you can see, in words, everything looks simple enough. In fact, this process is full of many small nuances that must be considered during installation. We do not recommend our clients to install the wind turbine power of 5 kW and higher by their own.
