Carbon Footprint
The term carbon footprint has traditionally meant the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere associated with the activities of an individual or organization. For example, using of electrical appliances, travelling by car, air travelling.
Greenhouse gas emissions (in particular CO2) per 1000 kWh of electricity generated:Coal - 955 kg Petroleum fuels - 893 kg
Nuclear energy - 65 kg
Wind power - 21 kg
In terms of price/harm to the environment is leading energy of the atom, but who else but we know how it would end.
When using wind turbine instead of traditional electrical network emissions to atmosphere are reduced (per 1,000 kWh) for:
0.75-1 tons of CO2 (carbon dioxide)
7.5–10 kg SO2 (sulfur dioxide)
3–5 kg NOx (nitrogen oxides)
